At the Shore
Howie Good
In the darkening dusk, two boys, brothers by their bickering,
each equipped with sand pail and toy fishing net, comb
the shoreline for treasures, crabs and conch shells and seaweed,
so bent on their acquisitive task they forget to look up at the moon
hovering far out over the water, a round yellow diamond.
